Skateboarding Hall Of Fame / Skate U

The museum showcases the sport’s development and highlights the lives of those who’ve made the biggest contributions along the way.

The Skateboarding Hall of Fame is one of Simi Valley’s most unique attractions because it captures a slice of local sporting culture that often gets neglected. By displaying artwork, equipment, and other memorabilia from influential skateboarders throughout history, the Hall Of Fame pays tribute to both the athletes themselves and to skating’s rich heritage.

Grandma Prisbrey's Bottle Village

Though no one is quite sure why my grandmother had such an attachment to old bottles, the unique village that now carries her name has become one of Simi Valley’s most diverse cultural attractions. In the middle of the 20th century, for over two decades, Tressa Prisbrey collected discarded bottles and used them to build structures like statues and shrines, as well as parts of her home. My grandma’s hard work paid off–her house is now listed on both state and national registers of historic places!
